- Social Soup Event, 14th December 2012
- An Art Beat event held on Friday 14 December 2012 from 7.00pm to 10.00pm. The event included a banquet of soup for 100 people, art performances and a candle lit night market.
- Quake City Exhibition Opening, 15 February 2013
- The Quake City exhibition held in RE:Start Mall. The exhibition was created by Canterbury Museum, and opened on 15 February 2013.
- 2013 anniversary of the 22 February 2011 earthquake
- The 2nd anniversary of the 22 February 2011 earthquake was marked in 2013.
- Songs for Christchurch Album Launch, 24 February 2013
- On the Sunday 24 February 2013 Songs for Christchurch had its launch. It was a music compilation album contributed to by twenty one local and global artists, including Grammy award winners Imogen Heap and Flight of the Conchords.
- Green Frame Exhibition Opening
- Green Frame Exhibition produced by Studio Christchurch Summer School. Exhibition 1 was held from 8 -11 March 2013 and Exhibition 2 from 10 -16 June.
- Breaking Wonderful opening night, 19 March 2013
- Constructed by a group of 16-19 year old teenagers in Christchurch, Breaking Wonderful is a piece of theatre made as reaction to the earthquake using the theme of re-birth as a spring board rather than earthquake-focused content.
- Seismics and the City 2013
- The theme for Seismics and the City 2013 was 'When a City Rises - Looking Forward, Clearing the Decks, Designing the Future and Laying the Foundations'. The event focused on the future shape of Christchurch, unresolved transitional issues, new business opportunities, and new ways of working. It challenged participants to apply post-quakes business continuity and resilience lessons.
- Transitional Cathedral Opening, 6th August 2013
- The Transitional Cathedral also known as the Cardboard Cathedral was opened to the public on 6 August 2013.
