Disappearing Suburbs

Disappearing Suburbs is a documentary photography project undertaken by students at the School of Fine Arts at the University of Canterbury between March and June 2012. Its aim is to capture images of eastern Christchurch, particularly areas that have been greatly affected by the 2010-2011 Canterbury earthquakes, and to understand the impacts of these events on people, places and communities. The project was made possible by the support of the Bexley Residents’ Association, the Dallington Residents' Association, and the Horseshoe Lake Residents' Association.
