- A photograph of the earthquake damage to a block of buildings on Lichfield Street. The top floor of the middle building has collapsed and the rubble has spilled onto the street. A large section of the closest building has also collapsed. Most of the rubble has since been cleared from the footpath.

- A photograph of an earthquake-damaged house on Gloucester Street. The bottom storey of the house has shifted and is now on a noticeable lean. USAR codes have been spray-painted on the front of the building and a red sticker has been placed on one of the windows.

In the foreground there is liquefaction on the ground from a liquefaction volcano.
