- dc.description
- A video of interviews with members of the public about which option they prefer for the restoration of the ChristChurch Cathedral. The options considered are those unveiled by the Anglican Church: the restoration option which would restore the current cathedral; the traditional option which would reinterpret the original cathedral in modern materials; and the contemporary option which would create a new building featuring a lightweight timber frame, more glazing, and modern interiors.

- A photograph of Graeme Kershaw, Technician at the University of Canterbury Department of Physics and Astronomy, sitting among the damaged parts of the Townsend Telescope. The telescope was damaged during the 22 February 2011 earthquake, when the Observatory tower at the Christchurch Arts Centre collapsed. Kershaw has been given the task of restoring the telescope. In this photograph he is holding the telescope's clock drive. In the foreground there is a plaque reading, "The equatorial telescope and accessories in this observatory were presented to Canterbury College by James Townsend Esq. 1891. A large contribution towards the erection of the tower was made by the Canterbury Astronomical Society".

- A photograph of Graeme Kershaw, Technician at the University of Canterbury Department of Physics and Astronomy, looking through the lens of the Townsend Telescope. The lens is the most crucial component of the telescope. It was found unscratched and unbroken in the rubble of the Observatory tower, after 22 February 2011 earthquake. This means that the telescope can be restored.

- Empowered Christchurch Social Media Campaigns: Restoration Phase
- dc.description
-
A poster created by Empowered Christchurch to advertise their submission to the CERA Draft Transition Recovery Plan on social media.
The poster reads, "Submission. CERA Draft Transition Recovery Plan. After nearly five years of 'Emergency Response' where sustainability has been sacrificed in the interests of speed, we can assume that this phase is now behind us. We see no reason why this period should be extended until April 2016. Lessons must be learned from the past. It is time to move into the 'Restoration Phase'. Once seismic and building standards are corrected, and risks are notified, mapped and accepted, sustainability will be ensures. We need a city that is driven by the people that live in it, and enabled by a bureaucracy that accepts and mitigates risks, rather than transferring them to the most vulnerable residents. We support option 3+."
