- The north end of the bridge on Gayhurst Road. During the earthquake, the bridge was forced about 15 centimetres towards the river, the land falling away under the road. Fencing has been placed around the footpath, and the road filled and resealed so that it can still be used by traffic.

- A toppled chimney on a house in Christchurch. The chimney has toppled onto the house but luckily not broken through the roof. It is now broken and lying on the corrugated iron. Below, plastic sheeting has been placed along the side of the roof to replace the missing gutter.

- St John's Anglican Church in Hororata with a broken bell tower. Unfortunately the top fell through the church roof. A high fence topped with barbed wire has since been erected to keep the souvenir hunters away.
